ABOUT US
We are a small site, tucked away and surrounded by fields yet within easy reach of the East Coast and North York Moors. With a field of friendly donkeys and ponies next door, peacocks calling the occasional greeting and a variety of birds around the site, you can relax and watch the world (and animals) go by.
The name of the caravan park 'The Jays' came from the name of the bunglaow on site and when the caravan park was set up, it just seemed right to keep the name.
As the caravan park grew we added storage and seasonal pitches but the site still remains an intimate space with a friendly welcome.
FAQ
Is the site dog friendly?
Yes! We welcome friendly dogs to our site.We just ask that you keep them on a lead at all times when on site and clean up after them.
Is the site suitable for children?
We do not have a playground and have no room for ball games so we do warn people that the site may not be suitable for children, especially younger children. However, if your children are happy with a quiet, relaxed site and are well supervised, we are happy to take your booking.
What can we see/do while at the site?
The Jays Caravan park is in a great location for exploring the East Coast and surrounding areas and there is so much to do, it's too long to list in a short paragaraph so please check out our What to See/Do page for inspiration. Also if you find any great places that are not listed on that page, please let us know so that we can share the information with others.'.
How do I book?
Our booking process is simple...Either email, call or use the booking enquiry form (details on our Contact Page) to tell us what your required dates are, details of your unit (type, size, awning etc) and details of your group including any pets. Pauline will then check the diary and reply to you to confirm availability. Payment is taken on arrival.
Please note, we are no longer a part of the Caravan and Camping Club so we do not require membership to stay
